Claim
One sentence written before a single frame was shot. It survived to the final cut unchanged.
Every city film looks the same: drone shot, timelapse, a licensed piano track. We wanted the opposite — a film with an argument, shot at eye level, that could hold a viewer past the three-second scroll threshold.
We wrote the claim first and shot to it. One sentence: Manchester rebuilds itself faster than it can be photographed. Everything that did not serve that line was cut, including two days of good footage.
Ninety-one percent of viewers reached the thirty-second mark — roughly triple the benchmark for a two-minute organic cut. It became the studio’s calling card and has opened more conversations than any pitch deck.
A drone reel with no claim — pretty, forgettable, watched for four seconds.
An eye-level argument with a beginning and an end, watched to the thirty-second mark by nine in ten.
One sentence written before a single frame was shot. It survived to the final cut unchanged.
Six mornings, eye level, natural light only. No drone, no timelapse, no stock.
Assembled to the claim. Two strong days of footage were dropped for not serving it.
A cool, low-contrast pass that keeps the brick honest and the sky heavy.
